ITA Quartet Competition

Combined ages of members may not exceed 100 (no individual member may exceed 28 years of age; birth date of January 1, 1986 or later)

First Prize - $1,000 cash prize, donated by the International Trombone Association

General Rules and Requirements

Additional Rules

  • The Preliminary round repertoire should be uploaded as a single audio file (1st and 2nd movements in one file.)
  • Members of past winning quartets are not eligible to participate in the 2015 ITA Trombone Quartet Competition
  • Each movement may be recorded separately, but there may be no editing within a movement.
  • No quartet personnel changes for the final competition round are permitted under any circumstances. If a finalist group is unable to be present at the ITF, an alternate group may be selected. Presentation of a valid photo ID will be required of each performer immediately prior to the final competition.
